Attorney Bradley “Brad” Sowell is a native and life-long resident of South Central Kentucky. Sowell graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2002 before attending the University of Kentucky, where he studied political science and received his bachelor’s degree in 2007. Sowell earned his juris doctorate degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 2011, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and was bestowed the distinction of magna cum laude. Sowell was accepted to the Kentucky Bar Association in October of 2011. Subsequently, Sowell obtained his licensure to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky

Sowell, the youngest child of Warren County natives Ron Sowell (Executive Vice President of Commonwealth Health Corporation) and Dr. Debra Sowell (Pediatrician, Graves Gilbert Clinic), always dreamed of becoming a lawyer. Sowell took the first steps towards achieving this career goal at the age of sixteen (16) when he became employed as a “runner” for the firm formerly known as Bishop & McCracken, P.S.C. While attending the University of Kentucky, Sowell was employed as a Legal Secretary for Hon. Charles E. Lowther at Boehl Stopher & Graves, whose focus lies in Kentucky Workers’ Compensation. Thereafter, Sowell was employed by Hughes & Coleman as a Case Manager in the Firm’s Workers’ Compensation Division.

While attending Mississippi College School of Law, Sowell received various distinguished awards for his educational efforts. Sowell received the “American Jurisprudence” (Am Jur) awards for receiving the highest grade in each of the following classes: Torts, Criminal Procedure, Workers’ Compensation, Wills & Estates, Domestic Relations & Evidence. Sowell was hired as a teaching assistant (TA) to assist incoming first-year law students with their studies in the area of Criminal Law. During his third year of law school, Sowell clerked for the Honorable Judge Kenny Griffis, who was the Presiding Judge for the Mississippi Court of Appeals.

Sowell began his employment as an associate attorney with John H. McCracken & Associates. In October of 2012, Sowell transitioned to Gary S. Logsdon & Associates, P.S.C., in Brownsville, Kentucky. He founded and organized Sowell, Stevenson & Steidl PLLC in May of 2015. Sowell’s practice focuses on the areas of personal injury, Kentucky Workers’ Compensation and Domestic Relations (Family Law); however, Sowell also has experience in fields such as criminal defense, civil defense, probate, bad faith, wrongful death, Kentucky Wage & Hour Employment Law, collections, and many others.
